TONANUTU RIDGE AREA

Outdoor recreation is the focal point of most vacations in our area. Several trailheads into Rocky Mountain National Park leave the Tonahutu Ridge area. Sombrero Ranch keeps a supply of horses on the Grand Lake Lodge property, so they can book horseback rides easily. Morning breakfast rides, evening steak-fry rides or even backcountry fishing trips are available.

A variety of boats from pontoons to small fishing boats can be rented on Grand Lake and Shadow Mountain Lake. The Grand Lake Golf Course is a short distance from Tonahutu Ridge. The village of Grand Lake offers many fine restaurants, quaint shops and necessary services.
